The Mail & Guardian and the Southern Africa Trust have merged two prestigious awards, Investing in the Future and Drivers of Change, to make the awards even bigger and better. These awards have been merged to recognise organisations and individuals from across the southern Africa region that are making a real impact on the lives of people living in poverty, through the development and implementation of effective public policies and strategies.

The Drivers of Change Civil Society and the Investing in the Future Non-profit Organisation awards categories will now be called Investing in the Future and Drivers of Change – Civil Society Award. The Drivers of Change Business category and the Investing in the Future Corporate awards have been merged to become the Investing in the Future and Drivers of Change – Business Award. The Drivers of Change Government and Individual categories will remain the same as the previous years.

Nominations for these awards are now open. Nominate individuals, organisations, businesses or government agencies that demonstrate innovation and leadership to overcome poverty in the region.
