The new management of Engen Bluewater Bay are committed to the company’s enduring brand promise ‘With us you are number one’, ensuring motorists and shoppers who visit the recently revamped site experience personalised service, convenience and quality.

Closed for maintenance and operational upgrades since 28 January 2022, Engen Bluewater Bay partially reopened to the public on 15 February 2022.

The forecourt is now ready to welcome customers, offering top quality Engen Primax with Pro-Drive and Engen Dynamic Diesel 50ppm with Pro-Drive, as well as a wide selection of essentials and treats from the Engen Quickshop.

While customers will have to wait until March 4th for upgrades to the site’s fast-food offerings to be complete, new owner Mohamed Cassim says it will be well worth the wait.

Comments Cassim: “There is nothing more important to me than happy customers and I plan to deliver the level of service that Engen customers have come to expect from South Africa’s favourite* petrol station: top quality fuels, convenience shopping and exceptional service.”

Cassim is not new to the Engen family.  As the owner of Markman Convenience Centre in Gqeberha, he has been with the Engen family since 2019.

Engen Bluewater Bay operates 24/7 and offers customers a diverse range of convenience offerings, including an Engen Quickshop, Debonairs, Fishaways, Steers and ABSA ATM.

Conveniently located close to the N2 on the corner of Amsterdamhoek and Weinronk Way in Gqeberha, Engen Bluewater Bay accommodates both sit-down and take-away’s for residents and beach goers who visit the area.

Engen General Manager: Retail, Seelan Naidoo says Engen is extremely excited to welcome Mohamed Cassim and his team onboard.

“At Engen we put our customers at the centre of everything we do and look to excite them with our many pioneering offerings,” says Naidoo.

“Convenience and customer service remain key determinants of success in our industry and crucial to ensure that our network continues to flourish.

“This will be taken forward by Engen Bluewater Bay and we wish Mohamed Cassim and his management team every success,” adds Naidoo.

* As voted for 10th consecutive years (2011-2020) in the Sunday Times Top Brands survey. Engen has also been voted the “Coolest” petrol station for 12 consecutive years (2010-2021) in the Sunday Times Generation Next Brand survey.
