NEHAWU in the Western Cape is fully behind the efforts by Cosatu to launch the twitter and facebook accounts that are dedicated at exposing the lies that are peddled by the Democratic Alliance-led administration in the province. This will help counter the false propaganda that Helen Zille and her party have been feeding the people of South Africa especially the myth that they have a good service delivery record. This is also important because it will give workers a platform to tell their stories in the province and present a new perspective on what is really happening on the ground.

The launch will take place at 11:00 on Thursday 24 April 2014 at the COSATU Western Cape provincial offices at Community House in Salt River. The affiliates of COSATU and civil society organisations will be in attendance and will speak of their experiences in the various sectors in which they work. They will use the twitter account and facebook page to post the truth about what is really happening in the working class areas of the province.
