Bomo Edith Edna Molewa, Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, hereby gives notice of intention to, under section 19(3)(a) read with section 73 of the National Environmental Management: Waste act, 2008 (Act No. 59 of 2008), declare the extraction, flaring or recovery of landfill gas as a waste management activity that does not require a waste management license and to set the national standards for the extraction, flaring or recovery of landfill gas as set out in the Schedule hereto.
