In terms of section 69(1)(y), (aa) and (ee) of the NEMWA the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, published the National Waste Information Regulations, 2012.

The purpose of the Regulations is to regulate the collection of data and information and to fulfil the objectives of the national waste information system as set out in section 61 of the NEMWA.

Please note that the Regulations will commence on 1 January 2013.
