The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs has by notice in the Government Gazette in terms of section 97 of the NEMBA made amendments to the Threatened or Protected Species Regulations, 2007.

The amendment provides for, inter alia, the following:

• The substitution of the definition of "provincial department";
• The amendment of Regulation 3; and
• The repeal of regulation 25 and 71(3)
