The Ministry of Finance today invited all South Africans to submit tips on what they would like to see included in the upcoming Budget to the annual Tips for Trevor campaign.

The campaign provided a platform for the public to engage with the Finance Minister, Trevor Manuel, on issues related to the economy that affect their lives.

Since the 2008 budget speech, over 500 tips covering tax, macro-economic policy, social and general issues had been received.

The Minister would read all tips, and make mention of some of the more memorable ones during his budget speech. The 2009 budget speech was scheduled for Wednesday, February 11 2009.
