Labour Minister Membathisi Mdladlana on Monday denied reports that labour legislation affecting labour broking and other issues was "shoddily" written to an extent that Cabinet refused to accept it.
"The bills are currently being discussed by Cabinet committees, Cabinet clusters and various government departments and it is, therefore, incorrect to say that the bills have been thrown out in Cabinet because they have not been in Cabinet yet," Mdladlana said.
The City Press reported on Sunday that the new legislation was shoddily written to an extent that Cabinet refused to accept it and it had to be redrafted.
Mdladlana applauded the black lawyers who drafted the bills and said that black lawyers were always associated with incompetence and lack of professionalism.
