I, Dr Rob Davies, Minister of Trade and Industry hereby, in terms of section 15A of the Merchandise Act, 1941 (Act 17 of 1941 hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), intend to designate the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (hereinafter referred to as "AFCON 2013") as a "protected event".
