MEC Albert Fritz will officially launch the new Department of Social Development local office in Bredasdorp, which will fall under the Cape Winelands Overberg Regional Office.
The office will provide child care and protection services, probation services, substance abuse interventions, and family and parenting support services to the surrounding community. The launch also coincides with a Ministerial Outreach Programme which will be conducted in the area, focused on youth, and linking them to opportunities.
This office will now bring the total number of DSD offices across the province to 38, which fall under the 6 regional offices.
There will be an opportunity for photos and interviews.
