The Summit is expected to seek solutions to the civil war in the former French colony following months of political unrest as government and rebels continue to fight.
It will follow a session of negotiations between the Ivorian government, political opposition groups and representatives of the three rebel groups, which opened in Paris last week.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Summit will seek to sanction the outcome of this negotiation session.
‘It is envisaged that President Mbeki, together with his French counterpart President Jacques Chirac and United Nations secretary-general Kofi Annan, will co-chair the meeting,’ the DFA said.
