Mbeki was scheduled to see Mugabe and Arthur Mutambara in two separate meetings. On Tuesday Mbeki met with MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai and his team of negotiators in Pretoria.
"The meetings are part of the president's ongoing SADC-mandated facilitation process in Zimbabwe," the statement read.
