In terms of section 174(6) of the Constitution, the president appoints judges of all other courts on the advice of the commission.
These appointment include R Allie for the Cape Provincial Division, Advocate C J Olivier and L P Tlaletsi for Northern Cape Provincial Division, Advocate K G B Swain SC for Natal Provincial Division, C T Sangoni for the Bisho High Court, Advocate R D Hendricks for the Mmabatho High Court, S W Abro and S Moodley for the Electoral Court.
No recommendation was made for the Transvaal Provincial Division.
