I, Jeffery Thamsanqa Radebe, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, hereby give notice in terms of section 27(2) of the International Co-operation in Criminal Matters Act, 1996 (Act No. 75 of 1996), that the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa has on 5 November 2009 agreed to the ratification of the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Treaty between the Republic of South Africa and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China as set out in the schedule. The Treaty entered into force on 2 December 2011.
