The IFP has learnt with shock and horror of the murder of Mr Eugene Terre'Blanche,
leader of the AWB, yesterday on his farm, Rev Musa Zondi, National
Spokesperson of the IFP said today.

"The news of the murder of Mr Eugene Terre'Blanche has left us gripped with
shock and sadness, especially when South Africa is still struggling with the
senseless murder of farmers, most of whom are defenseless and live in remote
areas of our country, far from regular police patrols," Rev Zondi said.

"This murder is even more disturbing as it comes in the wake of the
controversy of the song' "Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer" or "Dubula iBhunu"
which Julius Malema has been singing recently."

"Whether the murder of Mr Terre'Blanche is connected with this song or not,
it makes it all the more urgent for Mr Malema and the ANC to abandon it in
the name of peace. Some mindless people could take it literally and escalate
intra-racial hatred and murder of farmers," Rev Zondi said.

"The IFP expresses its condolences to the family and friends and close
relatives of Mr Terre'Blanche and wish them Gods strength in their hour of
sorrow and need," Rev Zondi concluded.
