"Regardless of who will be exposed, the results of corruption investigations must be made public - without delay and without censoring," said IFP Spokesperson on Correctional Services, Koos van der Merwe.
He added: "Nobody is above the law."
This was in response to reports that the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has allegedly uncovered corruption in rigged prison tenders of around R2 billion.
"The report is said to be sensitive and may implicate top officials. But that is no reason to delay making it public. The IFP calls on the Minister to be transparent and prove a zero tolerance for corruption. She has the report. She needs to tell us what is in it," said van der Merwe.
In February this year the Department of Correctional Services instructed the SIU to conduct an urgent audit on the latest R900 million catering contract. Two months later, the Minister failed to renew the SIU's contract.
"The IFP intends to carefully watch the Minister's response to this report. It will speak volumes about her leadership and integrity," said van der Merwe. "It must be remembered that those who cover up corruption become part of corruption. We will ask questions. And we will get answers."
