The Gauteng IFP would like to extend its good wishes to the Gauteng matric learners of 2012, who are set to sit for their matric final examination as from October 22 to November 28.

“On behalf of the IFP in Gauteng I would like to offer the highest order of wishes to the 2012 matriculates. We wish you well in your final preparations for the imminent final examinations,” said Bonginkosi Dlamini, Caucus Leader in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL).
The IFP in Gauteng is confident and optimistic that Gauteng learners will do well in this year’s final examination and contribute extraordinarily to the 70% pass rate target set by the National Department of Education. Our believe in this learners is encouraged by the effort made by the provincial Department of Education in setting up camps around the province and hiring specialist teachers to come on board and assist the pupil.

“We would however like to counsel the learners, not to become complacent of the work done in camps, but to also go even beyond in preparing themselves. In view of the fact that an excellent pass will most probably open numerous prospects for them as they embark on furthering their studies with tertiary institutions in the approaching year,” said Dlamini.
As the IFP in the province we trust that the successes of the previous Gauteng learners will motivate the current crop of learners to pursue even greater accomplishments in their exams. And we call upon parents, guardians and educators to be stimulus and supportive to the learners during this wearisome period.
“Moreover we hope that the ruling party in its upcoming conference in Mangaung will declare education an essential service and de-unionise education as well as professionalise teaching with the hope that teachers will behave professionally,” added Dlamini.
“To the learners go out there and demonstrate that indeed Gauteng is the ‘home of champions’ by proving that you can still triumph in the midst of adversity and supreme ordeals endured by our educational system,” concluded Dlamini.
