The Inkatha Freedom Party in KwaZulu Natal has lashed out at Contralesa
for criticizing the treatment given to the Zulu Monarch, King Goodwill
Zwelithini by the government of the day.

“It is ironic that Contralesa which happens to be an ANC surrogate to
mobilize traditional Leaders is the same Congress that is using
Political tactics to criticize the Zulu Monarch. If this is some game
being played by the ruling party, the Zulu King should not be used as a
political ladder for anyone,” said Honourable Blessed Gwala, Leader of
the Official Opposition in the KZN Legislature.

The IFP has noted the continuous victimization of the Zulu Monarch by
different bodies such as the Young Communist League, ANC Youth League
and now the Contralesa and the deliberate lack of disputing the attacks
aimed at King Goodwill Zwelithini by the government of the day.

“It is clear that Contralesa is used by the ruling party as a Trojan
horse to destabilize ubuKhosi as a unique institution in its own right
and to disestablish it in style once and for all,” said HonourableGwala.
