The Inkatha Freedom Party in KwaZulu Natal is appalled by the refusal of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, MEC Nomusa Dube to immediately release the Manase report.

“MEC Dube is forgetting that Manase report is not for her safekeeping but it is also a property of the public, the community of eThekwini is the one that pays tax therefore they have every right to know what is in that report,” said Honourable Blessed Gwala, Leader of Official Opposition in the KZN Legislature.

The IFP’s request derives from the number of months that have passed and there is no action being done about the release of the Manase report. The IFP is also concerned because of the various allegations about the report that were made by former eThekwini Municipal Manager, Mike Sutcliffe.

“We sincerely hope that the derail in releasing the Manase report is not aligned with the various allegations made against the MEC that her friends and relatives are implicated in the report, if there is nothing to hide from her side then the report must be immediately released to the media and public,” said Honourable Gwala.
