THE Inkatha Freedom Party in Kwa-Zulu Natal has lashed out at the MEC
for Health, Dr Sbongiseni Dhlomo for his latest trick to ‘buy’ votes for
the ruling party in KwaMashu ahead of the By-election set to take place
on the 5th of December 2012.

MEC Dhlomo has sent out an invite to the Mayor and Councillors inviting
them to “Taking Services to the People” event on Monday, 3rd December
2012 at the Rotary Sports ground in KwaMashu.

“It’s ironic how these ‘taking Services to the People’ event always
occur in places where By-elections are going to be and they always occur
right before an election,” said Honourable Blessed Gwala, Leader of the
Official Opposition in the KZN Legislature.

The IFP is appalled by the ruling party’s schemes to get people’s votes
in the expense of state resources.
“For as long there is still scheming from the ruling party and the IEC
fails to have everything in order ahead of the By-election there will be
unrest at KwaMashu.  People get angry because they are mistreated
through this scheming by Political leaders who are more interested on
setting their agendas straight,” said Honourable Gwala.

The IFP is calling for the MEC to do the right thing and refrain from
misusing his position otherwise we will have no option but to take the
matter to the Public Protector.
