The 12,000 square metre hall will play host to thousands of reporters, political party representatives and electoral officials over the next week. This will culminate in the release of the provincial and national election results from about 11pm on voting day, next Wednesday.
Results will continue coming in as the votes are counted at nearly 17,000 polling stations country-wide.
The final results must be declared within a week of the poll.
Construction of the venue at the old Pretoria Show Ground started on March 1.
Some 11,000 square meters of carpeting, 300 telephones, 350 personal computers, 200 lights, 1000 electrical power points and about 2km of data and telephone cabling was installed.
The venue will host 16 radio stations, four television channels and a host of print journalists.
Chief Electoral Officer Pansy Tlakula said great care was taken to ensure the integrity and security of computer systems at the centre.
She added it was "all systems go" for next week's third democratic elections - Sapa.
