It is with immense sadness that I am leaving this Parliament that has been my home for the past 16 years.
I have had many fights and I have won almost all of them.
Even though I have fought with many people here, I have also made many friends.
I also feel very proud that most of us have worked together to build our democracy.
But as I leave I want to remind you that on this day, 11 years ago, on 9 September 1999 in this Parliament, I blew the whistle on Arms Deal corruption.
Yesterday Hawks head Anwar Dramat suggested to Scopa that the investigations into the Arms Deal should be dropped for financial reasons.
How ridiculous!
I wonder which politician instructed you to cover up for them.
No amount of time or money is too much to bring these crooks to book, some of whom are still sitting in Government today.
To Chairperson Honourable Ismail Vadi and Comrade Sikhumbuzo Kholwane and all the members of the Portfolio Committee for Communications, I wish you well for the tasks ahead.
Honourable Vadi, enjoy Eid tomorrow.
Aluta continua.
Goodbye, totsiens almal.
I thank you.
