Joe Mcgluwa, the ID spokesperson for sport says ‘it probably didn't require rocket science for the ANC to reach the decision that Athletics South Africa chief Leonard Chuene should apologise.

‘The fact this decision has been reached by an organization whose members on Parliament's Portfolio Committee for Sport have victimized me for standing by the ID's assertion that Leonard Chuene should apologise for lying and resign, is a vindication for me,' Mr Mcgluwa says.

‘I was even accused of being a coward by an arrogant ANC committee member for standing up for the truth.

‘However, more than anything else, the process adopted by the ANC from the very beginning of this gender saga, even with its recent demand for an apology, has been an extremely mischievous way for the ANC to let Comrade Chuene after the hook,' says Mcgluwa.
