This report from the World Bank warns that while the worst of the financial crisis may be over, the global recovery is fragile. It predicts that the fallout from the crisis will change the landscape for finance and growth over the next ten years.
TWO FACTORS THAT WILL DRASTICALLY AFFECT EVERYONE IN OUR WORLD ARE
GLOBAL WARMING AND OVER POPULATION OF OUR EARTH.
GLOBAL WARMING WILL CAUSE CLIMATE CHANGES THAT WILL MELT ICECAPS IN THE SOUTH AND NORTH POLES WILL INUNDATE LOW LYING AREAS OF LAND CAUSING LOSS OF ARABLE LAND AND DESTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS NOT TO MENTION CAUSING HAVOC WITH WEATHER PATTERNS THAT WILL DESTROY CROPS AND CAUSE DROUGHTS THAT WILL AFFECT WATER SUPPLY AND FOOD PRODUCTION. THIS SCENARIO WILL BE EXACERBATED BY POPULATION GROWTH AS THERE WILL BE MORE MOUTHS TO FEED. ADEQUATE PROVISION OF DRINKING WATER WILL BE A MAJOR PROBLEM.
WE MUST ACT NOW TO AVOID A LOOMING DISASTER THAT IS MAN MADE.
