The Leader of the FF Plus, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Pieter Mulder, will today, 10 March 2010, lay a formal criminal complaint against Julius Malema, ANC Youth League Leader, following his use of the slogan "Kill the boer, kill the farmer" during a student meeting in Johannesburg last night.

The use of the slogan is also a contravention of section 16(2)(c) of the Constitution. Freedom of speech does not include the advocacy of hatred that is based on race, ethnicity, gender or religion, and which constitutes incitement to cause harm and has in any case been declared as hate speech by the courts.
