“If the media reports are correct, the FF Plus welcomes the arrest of Schabir Shaik. It is high time that action is taken against Shaik as he is an embarrassment to Correctional Services and his arrogant actions show that he thinks he is above the law. It is clear that he is definitely not terminally ill and that he has got to go back to jail to complete serving his sentence. If this does not happen, it will once again be proof that there is favouring for those prisoners with the right political connections and party affiliations,” Mr. Pieter Groenewald (MP), the chief spokesperson for the Freedom Front Plus on Correctional Services says.
