“The Minster of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mr. Sicelo Shiceka, should be fired immediately due to his relationship with Ms. Nana Masithela, financial chief of the Madibeng Municipality (Brits & Hartbeespoort). The fact that Masithela can not render any proof of her MBA degree makes her guilty of fraud. Her allegations that she is being protected by Shiceka make him an accomplice to this fraud. Shiceka’s actions are a disgrace for local government and clean administration and he does not belong in this position,” Mr. Pieter Groenewald, (MP), the Parliamentary spokesperson for the Freedom Front Plus on Local Government says.

“Madibeng Municipality is earmarked by poor financial management and poor service delivery. It is no wonder that things are in this state as the financial manager is incompetent and added to this the Minister is protecting her. It is a disservice to taxpayers and a wasting of their money. If President Zuma is serious about eradicating corruption he must fire Shiceka immediately,” Groenewald said.
