The FF Plus Youth today, 17 March 2010, officially laid a criminal charge of hate speech with the Potchefstroom Police Station against SASCO's chairperson on the PUK campus, Shimone Ramathosa. This follows after Ramathosa in his speech in front of hundreds of students said "Shoot the Boere".

The FF Plus youth leader, Jan van Niekerk, strongly condemned the use of the slogan as it clearly propagated hate speech and caused polarization. The FF Plus calls on the ANC to call its youth leaders to order after the FF Plus was forced to lay two charges of hate speech against ANC youth leaders in the past week. The other complaint deals with the same hate speech slogan which Julius Malema used at the University of Johannesburg, after which Dr. Pieter Mulder, FF Plus leader and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, laid a criminal charge against Malema.
