"Julius Malema is nothing but a black supremacist and a racist," Dr. Corné Mulder, FF Plus Chief Whip, said in a member statement in Parliament on 21 June 2011. He criticized the ANC leadership and added "that not a single ANC leader or politician had the guts to reprimand Malema for his racist pronouncements."

The complete member statement follows below:

“Section 1 of the Constitution clearly stipulates non-racialism as a founding value of our Constitution. This value is entrenched with a 75% majority. Throughout the Freedom Charter the principle of non-racialism is found. The Charter categorically states that ‘All national groups shall be protected by law against insults to their race and national pride’.”

“While this is the case the 5000 delegates of ANC Youth League this weekend elected Julius Malema unanimously as their President. A person who recently said in Kimberly that all whites in South Africa are criminals. Who also said that the ANC should forget about minorities and go exclusively for the 75% black vote so that it can change the founding provisions of the Constitution. The person who is declaring war on ‘White Capital’ but ‘Black Capital’ is just fine – the person who wants to destroy food security in South Africa. The person who is on his way to the Union Buildings to confront the President of the Republic. Julius Malema is nothing but a black supremacist and a racist. The tragedy is that not a single ANC leader or politician had the guts to reprimand Malema for his racist pronouncements. It was left to an ANC party official to say that the resolutions adopted were not ANC policy – but still not a single word was said on his racist insults to whites and other minorities. Honourable Winnie Mandela even anointed him as the next Nelson Mandela. The ANC should not be surprised if their target of creating 500 000 new jobs per annum does not materialize.”
