The Freedom Front Plus said that the ANCYL is at present the biggest single threat for economic prosperity and peace in South Africa. The party said the country has many challenges which have to be overcome, of which one of the most serious would be to control radical elements such as the ANCYL.

This follows on the proposal of the ANCYL that the Constitution should be amended to allow the state to expropriate private property without any compensation. These proposals are contained in the ANCYL's discussion documents for their conference which will be held in June 2011.

According to Dr. Conrad Beyers, the FF Plus' spokesperson on Finance, all South Africans, both black and white, are being threatened by the ANCYL. The time has come for all South Africans to stand together against radical elements which threaten the country's future prosperity and peace.

"The ANCYL will throw the negotiated settlement of 1994 in the dustbin without even blinking an eye. It is without a doubt a recipe for chaos and a second Zimbabwe," Beyers said.

The FF Plus said that the ANC's incapability to address poverty and unemployment in the country creates room for radical groups such as the ANCYL to promote their evil plans.

“Poverty and unemployment should be the ANC's number one priority. Under the government of the ANC poverty and unemployment are increasing daily despite expensive corrupt and unsustainable projects which the government starts without any effect,” Beyers added.
