The FF Plus demands the firing of Mr. Jimmy Manyi, the Director General of the Department of Labour. This follows after a complaint against Mr. Manyi had been lodged with the government by the Norwegian Ambassador in South Africa because Mr. Manyi promoted private business interests during an official meeting between the two parties. According to Adv. Anton Alberts, Parliamentary spokesperson on Labour for the Freedom Front Plus, the events are ironic as adv. Alberts had on behalf of the FF Plus voted against the Budget Debate on Labour which had been held on 26 May 2010, amongst others, because Mr. Manyi, as the President of the Black Management Forum (BMF) is in conflict with his position as the Director General of Labour. Adv. Alberts also mentioned in his member statement that Mr. Manyi could abuse his official position to promote members of the BMF. This then has now been revealed to have taken place and that is why the Minister of Labour should relieve Mr. Manyi of his post.

"It is amazing that the Director General of Labour which should be keeping himself busy with labour matters, not only interferes with the promotion of private business interests, but also with black economic empowerment which falls within the ambit of the Department of Trade and Industry. According to media reports Mr. Manyi alleged that he had been talking about black economic empowerment issues and that he had therefore acted within his mandate. That is of course stripped of all truth and it is increasingly clear that Mr. Manyi acts like an ANC cadre who is looking for inside tracks for himself and his mates rather than looking after the interests of South Africa," Adv. Alberts said.

This ill-suited action of Manyi is only one of many in recent times. Apart from the fact that he is a racial ideologue who is trying to squeeze whites further out of the labour market and attacks property rights, he recently without the necessary basis and procedure asked a further R1 billion for his department, which amongst others would have been used for more intensive policing of the draconian legislation of that department.

The FF Plus is of the opinion that a balanced and just Director General now has to be appointed in the Department of Labour, who will be able to see that the damage affirmative action is causing communities and the country as a whole is an injustice which has to be stopped immediately.
