“The Public Protector has informed the Freedom Front Plus that considerable progress has been made with their investigation into the tender allocation process for commercial properties in Pilgrims Rest. The PP has obtained all relevant documents and the office of the PP is now in a position to properly investigate the tender process as a whole,” adv. Anton Alberts, the parliamentary spokesperson for Economic Affairs for the FF Plus, said.
“The fact that the PP keeps the party informed and is in regular contact with the party regarding the complaint which the party had lodged with the PP, is commendable. If all departments of the public service were to function in this manner, South Africa would have been a different country. We are pleased with the progress the PP has made in this case to date and believe that we will soon be receiving a recommendation that action should be taken against the Mpumalanga government in this regard,” adv. Alberts added.
