As part of the National Energy Efficiency Campaign, and on behalf of Government Communication Information System, a series of fact sheets pertaining to energy efficiency have been developed that outlines what each South African citizen should know about energy – in layman’s terms.

The reason for this is that our energy resources are not limitless and it has become a critical priority worldwide. It is, therefore, in the interest of every South African to become energy efficient. Energy efficient behaviour also has a host of benefits: it saves money, it contributes to cheaper electricity rates, it helps to ensure enough energy for all, and it protects our planet.
