This report from the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union finds that Africa's economic growth continued to slow in 2009 to 1,6%, down from 4,9% in 2008, as a result of the global economic recession. Gross domestic product growth in Africa is, however, expected to rise to 4,3% in 2010.
