I think the policy is perfect and in order but whether we have the mechanisms to ensure that these policies are put into practice remains to be seen. I am personally very happy to see the strategy for a Carbon Tax Scheme in place rather than a Carbon Trading Scheme given the simplicity of the former and the failure of the latter in the EU. However, whether sufficient regulations are put into place which will enforce these policies remains to be seen.
