The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana MP, will interact with female learners from local schools as part of promoting the Women in Scarce Skills programme in SASOL, Secunda Plant, Govan Mbeki Municipality in Mpumalanga Province on Thursday, 30 April 2015.
The Women in Scarce Skills Programme is aimed at encouraging female learners to take up careers in fields previously dominated by males. This campaign will expose female learners to career choices in Petrochemicals, Mining, Maritime, Aviation as well as Engineering, through visits to industries and workplaces.
The Deputy Minister will tour SASOL operations together with female learners from local high schools where SASOL female engineers and technicians will demonstrate and share their experiences on their chosen careers.
