The database would be used by government to determine where orphans and vulnerable children live and how best to help them, Social Development Minister Zola Skweyiya said on Monday.He was giving an update of government's plan to assist children made vulnerable by HIV and Aids.
Current anti poverty interventions for children include access to food, skills training and psycho-social support. This involves access to social grants, free education and health care, as well as services such as alternative care and urgent assistance in cases of child abuse, neglect and exploitation, a statement said.
