The Democratic Alliance Youth leaders of all nine provinces and I will tomorrow evening be switching off our lights in support of Earth Hour 2010 and we urge the youth of South Africa to do the same and join the global fight against climate change.

Earth Hour is a World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) initiative supporting action against climate change. This Saturday the 27th of March at 8.30pm, millions of people across the globe will switch off their lights for one hour in what is expected to be one of the greatest civil actions the world has ever seen.

The DA Youth therefore encourages young South Africans to take action and pledge their support for Earth Hour 2010 on www.wwf.org.za as we have. Then simply flick the switch to show that by taking a collective stand we can overcome the threat of climate change.
