On behalf of the Democratic Alliance (DA), I would like to wish all South Africans a blessed Easter and Passover weekend.

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are two of the most sacred days on the annual Christian calendar, signifying sacrifice, hope and new life. It is a time for Christians to reflect on gratitude, generosity and forgiveness.

To South Africans of the Jewish faith we wish a blessed and meaningful Pesach, a time to be with loved ones and reflect on human progress towards human rights and freedom over the centuries.

To those travelling on our roads to a holiday destination or on a pilgrimage, we urge you to observe the rules of the road and to take responsibility for your safety, as well as those of your fellow road users.
