The Democratic Alliance has today filed its responding affidavit in our legal action against President Jacob Zuma's appointment of Menzi Simelane as the National Director of Public Prosecution.

The DA filed the original application on the 11th of December 2009, asking the Gauteng North High Court to declare the President's decision to appoint Menzi Simelane invalid and inconsistent with his constitutional obligation to appoint someone fit and proper. [see pdf]
