The Democratic Alliance (DA) offers its deepest sympathies to the family, loved ones and colleagues of the late Sheena Duncan.

Sheena Duncan lived an inspirational life. She dedicated her time to the development of a democratic and just South Africa. During the apartheid years Sheena led the Black Sash with clarity of vision, brilliant intellect and dogged determination. The organization's efficacy owed a great deal to her leadership. She was a truly remarkable woman and South Africa has benefited greatly from her legacy.

On behalf of the Democratic Alliance I extend my heartfelt condolences to Sheena's family, and all of those who knew her and were affected by her work.
