The union says that there is a danger that millions of South Africans will not be playing their part in the democratic process because they will not have registered to vote.
Around 57% of the unregistered voters are reportedly under 40.
Cpsatu says that it is doing everything possible to make certain that all the people are eligible to vote and play their part in determining their future.
The union will be holding meetings and ‘blitzing’ shopping centres and taxi ranks over the next few days in George and Worcester (Western Cape), Witbank and Mapoch’s mine (Mpumalanga), Polokwane and Zebedeela Citrus Farm (Limpopo), Pretoria and Vereeniging/Vanderbyl Park (Gauteng), Klerksdorp, Ventersdorp, Bloemhof and Mafikeng (North West), Kimberley (Northern Cape), Frankfort, Virginia, Bloemfontein Qwaqwa and Bethlehem (Free State) and Port Elizabeth and East London (Eastern Cape).
