The Western Cape Premier celebrates her 100 days in office tomorrow and the only thing that looks better in the province is the Premier's face, because of her expensive Botox. The first 100 days are normally an indication of the future performance of the premier as you only really have to give an indication of clear plans you will be implementing. Well we have seen no plans and no performance by the Premier or her administration. Drugs that were her key election platform have no plan in place, only a request for another month before they are able to present even a rough plan, all this whilst our people cry out for relief.

On the economy there are no plans in place to reverse the job losses or create new jobs. The housing and service delivery has not moved forward an inch. This is really sad as the only thing the Premier has done is to call a halt to the other good things that were put in place in the province by the previous administration.

It seems that when there is a call for leadership during this recession that is more than just photo ops and sound bites the Premier is found wanting. The Premier is wonderful at rooting out corruption, but not the inspirational leader these hard times require. We call upon the National Government to assist her in mapping out a programme that brings relief to our people's needs.
