The Congress of South African Trade Unions is suspending its planned solidarity protest action against Sun International at Sun City, due to the progress that has been there during the wage negotiations from 11-13 January 2010 between SACCAWU and Sun International.

The planned protest march will now be changed to be a mass meeting to give feedback to all members on the progress made during the negotiations. Therefore we call all COSATU and SACCAWU members to be at the picket line at Sun City for the feedback on 16 January 2010.

As the federation in the province we want to thank all communities, and other affiliates, who have been part of the solidarity support to this strike since 4th December 2009, for their readiness to support the suspended action of 16 January 2010.
