Congress of South African Trade Union will be part of SACCAWU report back mass meeting at Sun City main gate to intensify the strike on wage dispute that has been there for more than six weeks.

Sun International workers had a Black Christmas due to the arrogance of Sun International chief executive officer who is still out of the country on holidays while workers are on strike.

Workers at Sun City had Black Christmas with their families, while the white bosses including shareholders had White Christmas at the beach with their families and those who are friends to the shareholders.

COSATU in North West is intensifying the strike for solidarity support from other COSATU affiliates including members of the community around Moses Kotane municipality.

Our Mass meeting to intensify the strike will take place on the 9th January 2010 at the main gate of Sun City from 10am till 17hoo

Part of the report back mass meeting is to build up towards our planned protest action to block the gate on the 16th January 2010 with a full support of both sides of Sun City from the side of Thabazimbi and Phokeng the road will be closed.

The march will demand Valli Moosa to receive the memorandum to intervene also on the same date to put up our demands to the Sun International board and the premier to disband the gambling board of the North West with a full investigation team.

Racism is still existing in Sun City, even after we have signed a memorandum of understanding with the chief executive officer. Workers are still being called baboons. One of the white manager who is the son to the suspended operational manager, Borriss Booman his son Neel Booman called workers baboons right in Sun City, and is currently suspended.

It is clear that with this type of attitude of Sun International managers led by their chief executive officer including shareholders and the board, racism will not end in Sun City if workers are not fighting. We are not in a joking programme like we are told by some capitalist who are friends to shareholders that COSATU does not have mandate.

Those who think that we do not have mandate are invited to the report back mass meeting on the 9th January 2010 and the protest action on the 16th January 2010 to get directly from workers how bad is the Sun International management and it's Sun City management is treating workers.
