The Congress of South African Trade Unions has noted the report in today’s Sunday Times – “Vavi stuns ANC”.
In accordance with its longstanding practice, COSATU will not comment on a report based on leaked documents.
The federation is to hold a meeting of its Central Committee on 27-30 June 2011. In preparation for this important meeting, discussion documents are being drafted, assessing the political and socioeconomic developments over the past few years, and these are being debated by the membership.
The media have been invited to attend the plenary sessions of the Central Committee and to report on its discussions and decisions.
