The Congress of South African Trade Unions salutes the people of Egypt on their great victory in forcing the resignation of the hated President Hosni Mubarak, which was announced today by the country’s Vice-President. Dictators around the world should be trembling with fear at the triumph of people’s power in first Tunisia and now Egypt. Let us hope that we are entering a new era in which democracy spreads all over the world.
