Cosatu in Gauteng will be also using the May-Day celebrations in both events to launch Gauteng campaign to promote the National Campaign to test for HIV/AIDS and other related diseases as launched by the President of the Republic.
We expect to ensure that this campaign achieve its objectives hence not less than 5000 workers will partake in the test including for women on Pap Smear. We are going to ensure that a massive visits to the various workplaces in Gauteng as part of meeting the target of ensuring that each and every Cosatu member in Gauteng knows their status. The provincial leadership will be the first to take the public test.
