The union argued that both the DA and the NNP call for a weakening in workers rights.
By comparison, it said that the ANC has passed strong laws to protect workers, and its manifesto appeared to promise more, particularly for outsourced and casual workers.
However, the DA and NNP said that that South Africa's labour laws remained Inflexible.
But, Cosatu contests this arguing the South Africa has the 19th most flexible laws of 133 countries studied.
The DA reportedly wants to introduce a “two-tier labour market,” in order for workers and employers to have equal protection and both the DA and the NNP say they will cut taxes and, by extension, government spending.
Cosatu questioned how the DA and NNP proposed to meet promises of improve government services for poor and working people, while making pledges of lower taxes, privatisation and relaxing protection for workers.
