The Congress of the People is saddened at the passing away of Inkosi NJ Ngubane yesterday 11 January 2010. Inkosi Ngubane is known to us as having worked closely with Inkosi Mangosuthu G Buthelezi from the times of the erstwhile KwaZulu Government where he served as minister.

Inkosi NJ Ngubane served the people of KwaZulu-Natal as a member of the Provincial Council since 1994 until 2006 as MEC for Safety and Security, Traditional Affairs and Social Welfare. His tireless work for the people of KwaZulu-Natal and his traditional authority in particular will be missed.

We wish to express our condolences to the family of Inkosi Ngubane, Inkosi MG Buthelezi and Inkatha Freedom Party, and the people of KwaZulu-Natal at large for the loss of this outstanding traditional leader.
